Used as chemical reagents, raw materials for organic synthesis, intermediates of azo dyes, used in the production of reactive red M-80, M-10B, reactive red violet X-2R and other dyes, and drug p-carboxybenzylamine. It can be used as a sunscreen, and its derivative octyl dimethylcarbamate (Padimate O) is an excellent sunscreen.
