4.1 Description of first aid measures:
In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
4.1.1 In case of inhalation:
Get medical aid immediately. Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial
respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
4.1.2 In case of skin contact:
Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.
4.1.3 In case of eyes contact:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical
aid immediately.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid. Do NOT induce vomiting. If conscious and alert,
rinse mouth and drink 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.
4.2 Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
Causes serious eye irritation.
4.3 Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
If skin irritation or rash occurs, get medical advice/attention.
Section 5 Fire-Fighting measures
5.1 Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media: Use water spray, dry chemical foam, or chemical foam.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Not available.
5.2 Special hazards arising from the
substance or mixture
In case of fire, the following can be released: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
5.3 Advice for firefighters: Fire-fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and self-contained
breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in positive pressure
mode.
Section 6 Accidental release measures
6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
6.1.1 For non-emergency personnel: Remove ignition sources. Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation of vapour
or dust. Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye
protection/face protection.
6.1.2 For emergency responders: Wear an appropriate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if dust is generated.
6.2 Environmental Precautions: Avoid disposing into drainage/sewer system or directly into the aquatic
environment. Keeping away from drains, surface-and ground-water and soil.
6.3 Methods for Containment and Cleaning
up:
Remove source of heat, sparks, flame, impact, friction or electricity. Avoid raising
dust. Dike spill.
Recover undamaged and minimally contaminated material for reuse and
reclamation. Shovel or sweep up. Place in suitable containers for disposal or
reclamation.
6.4 Reference to other sections: See Section 7 for information on safe handling.
See Section 8 for information on personal protection equipment.
See Section 13 for information on disposal.
Section 7 Handling and storage
7.1 Precautions for safe handling:
7.1.1 Protective measures: Work clothes, helmet and protective gloves have to be used. Furthermore protective
goggles should always to be worn because of the irritating properties of the product
to eyes.
If dust formation is possible during filling/transfer/charging or discharging operations
LEV (effectiveness 90%) or half mask respirators with dust filters (effectiveness
90%) is required.
7.1.2 Advice on general occupational
hygiene:
Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas. Wash hands after use. Remove
contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including
any incompatibilities:
Do not mix with strong oxidants. Store in a cool and well ventilated place. Keep
container tightly closed.

Eye/face protection: Wear chemical safety goggles to prevent eye exposure.
Hand protection: Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure.
Body protection: Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.
Respiratory protection: Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate
government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU). Where risk assessment
shows air-purifying respirators are appropriate use a dust mask type N95 (US) or
type P1 (EN 143) respirator.
Thermal hazards: Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent heat.
8.2.3 Environmental exposure controls: Avoid discharge into the environment.
