Dithiocyanomethane is a kind of high efficient and wide spectrum fungicide with good performance. Dithiocyanomethane is a non-oxidizing fungicide that does not degrade its activity due to contaminants, debris, or other particulate matter in the water system. Therefore, it is widely used in industrial circulating cooling water (such as: large fertilizers, refineries, power plants, etc.), sewage wastewater, oil field water injection as a bactericidal algae and mud prevention agent. It can also be used in the paperboard industry for paper and food packaging.
